PERCENTIF supports only evaluating a single criterion.Otherwise, criterion may be a string containing a number (which also checks for equality), or a number prefixed with any of the following operators: =, >, >=, <, or <=, which check whether the range cell is equal to, greater than, greater than or equal to, less than, or less than or equal to the criterion value, respectively. If a number is provided, each cell in range is checked for equality with criterion. Also, it seems somehow inappropriate to have a sample size that is larger to or equal to the amount of men (50 men, sample size 50) because the whole idea of a sample will be that it is smaller than the whole population and tries to represent it this way. If range contains numbers to check against, criterion may be either a string or a number. Each cell in range is then checked against criterionfor equality (or match, if wildcards are used). A string criterion must be enclosed in quotation marks. To match an actual question mark or asterisk, prefix the character with the tilde ( ~) character (i.e. An alpha level of 0.01 for a 1-tailed hypothesis would be equal to a critical Z score of 2.33. An alpha level of 0.05 for a 1-tailed test would therefore be equal to a critical Z score of 1.64. criterion can contain wildcards including ? to match any single character or * to match zero or more contiguous characters. We still need to find a Z score that corresponds to our alpha level, but now the entire percentage would lie in one tail, on one side of the distribution. If range contains text to check against, criterion must be a string. The range that is tested against criterion.
